Wordless Thursday!

Sacrifice.

A few months ago Daniel and I had the privilege of meeting this young couple who came to speak at our church.  They were there to speak about their ministry with Campus Crusade for Christ.  Immediately I thought..."Wow, they are so young and they are already working with college kids?"  But that isn't what they do.  The more I heard them talk about this amazing ministry they are involved in, the more I realized the sacrifice they are making to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.  You see....they are missionaries.  In an undisclosed location in Asia.  They are back in the states because they just gave birth to a baby girl and have already returned to their ministry field.  You may ask why it is an undisclosed location?  Because if anyone knew they were there, in this country, for the purpose of spreading the gospel, they could be put in jail or persecuted.  If they are found out by the government....they could be in serious life threatening danger.

Ben & Felicia's passion to risk so much of themselves and sacrifice everything to share Christ with others overwhelms me.

I was able to spend a short time with them before they left the country with their beautiful baby girl and get a few snap shots for them to have and cherish.

 

Ben & Felicia, thank you so much for giving me a chance to capture your beautiful family :)  

More importantly, thank you for sacrificing so much for the cause of Christ.

Wordless Thursdays

I am starting a new series called....Wordless Thursday!  This will be the only post on Wordless Thursday where there will be....well....words!  Every Thursday I will post a photo with no words.  I am challenging myself to post photos that speak for themselves.
So here is my first Wordless Thursday post :)

TAMALES!

This weekend we gathered at my parents house to have a Tamale making party.  Let me tell you....it was awesome :)  AND the Tamales are delicious!

I forgot to take pictures of when we were actually stuffing the Tamales, but at least I got Before and After! :)

And we had some cute dogs to entertain us for the day!

Learning

Today is another day of focusing myself on my business.  I am sipping my coffee while watching a course on CreativeLive...an amazing online source of photography classes.

I am so excited about these recent opportunities to learn more about photography!  I also submitted a video to join Jasmine Star for a CreativeLive in a few months.  I SO hope I get picked :)  Also, I am super PUMPED to have a Tamale making party with my family tomorrow!  wup wup!

Simplicity

Today I am sitting on my couch, drinking coffee from my favorite F.R.I.E.N.D.S coffee cup and going through my new favorite Photography Forum.

This forum is a new community created by Scarlett Lillian of Scarlett & Stephen.  It is a community based on photographers who are followers of Christ and need biblical and Godly encouragement when it comes to running our businesses.  I cannot wait to dive into this community!
