Friendship.

Friendship.  It seems so simple when you are young and have no responsibilities.  But when you start to get older....it seems to get more and more difficult as the days and months go by.  It becomes more of a choice rather than asking permission on a Friday night.    When you get to the choosing part, people start to just....die off.  And you are left with the people who choose you.  Who choose your friendship, your support, your love.

This past weekend I spent in Nashville, TN with one of those friends.  We grew up together in church but didn't become really close until our senior year of high school.  After that, we had a special connection and I have never been able to pin point what that quite is!  Sometimes I think Bethany just understands me (which is hard to do...).  I commend her for that, because I can be a complicated person!  I love her so dearly and I am so thankful she chooses our friendship :)

One thing I forgot to mention--she is expecting!  (Just like everyone else around me....)  So I wanted to share some picture of her and her husband I grabbed real quick before I left yesterday :)  Bethany, thank you for being such an encouragement to me and for taking the time to care about my life :)

Bethany & Xander--thanks for letting me crash at your place this weekend! :)  I had an awesome time, and I can't wait for Brinkley to arrive!

Holly's Shower

It has been a crazy Holiday season!  It has finally slowed down a little bit and I have a little more time to focus on keeping my blog up to date :)

I wanted to share with you a baby shower I hosted this past weekend.  It was for my good friend Holly Early who is know in her 8th month of pregnancy with her second baby boy!  It was more like Sprinkle Shower (click here for more info on what that is!)  My friend Aubrey Linerode and I put it together and it was so much fun!  We hosted it at an old family farm house right outside of Kokomo, IN.  It was renovated about 4 years ago.  It was a beautiful home and perfect for a nice intimate shower :)
I will share a few pictures with you from the day.  I got this cute decorating idea from Tina Jay that was super simple yet really adorable :)  The house was so charming by itself, I didn't want to overdue it with a lot of decorations.  Ok, ok, I will show you the pictures now!

She got some really awesome gifts, like this awesome stroller! :)

She is 36 weeks here....I believe :)  Not sure if it is totally accurate, but close enough!

So excited for her and Michael (her husband) to become new parents once again :)  I was so glad to be able to host this shower for them and to help them be prepared for little Dawson's arrival!

I am also really excited to be traveling to Nashville, TN this coming weekend to attend my best friend's baby shower!! :D  I haven't seen her since our wedding, so I am super excited about this trip.  She is one of my closest friends and has been there for me through the years.  She means the world to me (and I hope she knows that!) and I can't wait to celebrate this wonderful addition to their family :)

So, I will definitely have pictures of that coming next week!  I hope you all survive the snow and stay safe on the roads!
